Secret Santa with Friends
A Secret Santa celebration with friends is a great recipe for an evening filled with fun, laughter and happiness. Who’d better know what to get you for Christmas than your friends? A Secret Santa gift exchange will add a little mystery and loads of fun to your celebration!
Draw Names now!
A Secret Santa with Friends: what do you need?
Before you have the actual Secret Santa with your friends you have to draw the name first. For this you need:
- A hat or a bowl
- Paper and pens
- Your friends
- Snacks and drinks (optional)
Decide on a date on which you can all get together. When you do get together have everyone write down their names, and a few things they’d like to get, on a paper. Then all put your names into the hat or bowl, mix them up a little and let everyone draw a name one-by-one.
Drawing names, the easy way
If it’s difficult for you guys to get together before the actual Secret Santa celebration, you can also draw names online. One person in your group fills out all your names and e-mail addresses and Draw Names’ Secret Santa organiser will do the rest of the work for you.
The celebration
The names have been drawn, and everyone has gotten their giftee a nice present. The day of your Secret Santa celebration has finally arrived. How to go about this celebration? Decide who’s hosting the party beforehand. Is that person taking care of everything or is everyone supposed to bring food and drinks with them? Be clear on this. Make sure that everyone has labeled their presents beforehand.
Change it up a little
To decide who gets to unwrap their present first you could throw a dice or make another game out of it. If you want to change it up even more you could also have a White Elephant gift exchange. With this game, you are allowed to steal each other’s presents! Whatever way you decide to celebrate, we hope you have a lovely Secret Santa with your friends!
